I think you did a great service for her by allowing her to step up even if it’s scary. And look at how she is now.

Does she speak any Tagalog? We are also a mixed family.. My husband is Filippino and I’m Thai but my kids speak English. I know that some people think I don’t do a good enough of the job trying to teach them Thai.. Well, I tried. But life gets in a way.
