This week’s theme: Narrow

The dwellers of old Dubai build their houses so closely together creating narrow pathways. They have to stay as close as possible to utilize more shade especially during the hot summer months.

Yes, I always thought that houses built so closely were terrible, but they do serve a purpose.

I love the idea of the shade but is it intrusive?

Narrow passages for shade – do they funnel breezes, too? Very practical. And it all looks so light and airy.
