I am currently having issues with my web host and on the lookout of a reliable yet affordable (this kind still exist right?) replacement. I am paying $6.95 per month right now and not quite ready to go beyond that budget.
So can you tell me which one you’re using and why you would recommend it?

I use HostGator and they`ve been very good to me. When I totally messed up and deleted my blogs, they helped me put everything back together and when my GoDaddy account was hacked, they did a full scan and assured me that my hosting account was fine and pointed me in the right direction to find the problem.

I use lunar pages (Lunarpages.com). I’ve used them for about 6 years – they are currently running a $4.95/mo special. Like anything, they have problems but unlimited space? unlimited bandwidth? any number of domains and accounts? They work very nicely for me!

I’d recommend the obvious which is to check against the local or national BBB. Lunarpages is supposedly pretty good as is hostgator but your mileage may vary.
What are the requirements (other than price)?

If I wasn’t so happy with hostloco I would seriously consider getting an account there myself.
3000 MB space + unlimited traffic for 1,25 Euros (~1,90&) a month. Apparently they even won some awards and stuff. Looks pretty good to me in any case.
