The post that got swallowed by www black hole

Hi, my name is Grace, an eager and dedicated blogger who also happens to be out of the internet loop for more than 24 hours. Yuck.

The office internetz suddenly shut its doors on my face since yesterday. Some people were having the connection, some didn’t. I did not ask the IT person because he might think that, you know, *ahem* I couldn’t function without the net – which in a way, is true. But I ain’t telling no one. I’ve been half crazy the entire time until…just about 5 minutes ago when my connection was restored.

I did try to fight off my urge to write a blog post so I used the powers that be of the office Wi-Fi and my Nokia E63. I accessed WordPress admin, text typed a new blog post with my thumbs constantly bumping on each other and the rest of the fingers confused as to why their service were not required today. I finally finished text typing the blog post and hit publish.

Then my phone stared at me blankly. It did not move. No clock animation, no hourglass figure. NOTHING! I waited for what seemed to be like eternity but the screen just froze. You’ve got to be kidding me! I struggled to write that post and it was wiped out. All gone!

“Struggled” is the keyword here, people. I almost threw my phone to the nearest IT guy walking around me.

At the end of the day, I got my life, I mean my internet back. I hope you all are having a good day and thank God for your free flowing internet connection. Do appreciate the little things, ok?

Its amazing how I feel I cant live without the internet for even a few hours. I might try an experiment and go without it for 48 hours, just to see what happens. I think I would probably go mad!

I so feel for you! Whenever we loose our connection at work for 5 minutes I feel completely lost, out of touch, useless…. And I had facebook comments frozen on my phone, which made me mad, I can only imagine how you feel after a whole blog post get’s eaten somewhere by the abyss! Hope you feel better now with the internet restored :-)

Is there a local Internets Anonymous chapter in your area?

This is really a scene I can totally relate to. I was wondering, before, I survived without the internet connection but now, I could not imagine a minute without internet connection.
