I’ve decided since after all, this is still a personal blog to get uhm, a little more personal by sharing the current goings on with my life. I’m going to write and publish every Sunday.
How does The Sunday Currently works?
Well, I found a few bloggers who has “fixed” prompts. Some have 5, some, 10. I’m going to go with 5 for now. To give you an idea, blogger Chrystina Noel made a list of 102 verbs to use as prompts for the currently posts. You can download the list by clicking on the link.
So these are my “currently” prompts for this week.
I have stopped watching TV or following a series a long time ago. The last series I watched and followed was Smallville. How many years ago was that?!
However, we bought a bigger TV last December, an upgrade of the old 32″ (non-smart) TV that we’ve had for years and it opened up a whole new world to TV watching!! UHD 4K Smart TV, where have you been all my life? LOL. I didn’t realize how different it is to watch shows on bigger, clearer and more vivid screen.
So now I understand whey there are TV addicts…
So now where were we? I’m currently watching – SHERLOCK with my teen. Yes, 6 years late! We’re still in the first Series though and Series 1 ending threw me off the wall – I’m not sure if it’s the British accent or the audio quality of the online server but I find I get lost in some dialogues. Sometimes I find it being delivered too fast to understand. Or Sherlock is just a show
for highly intellectual individuals you need to watch when you’re really, fully awake?
I resolve to read more books this year and after finding out the treasure trove that is Amazon India, that shouldn’t be difficult. I’m currently reading Mojo: How to Get It, How to Keep It, How to Get It Back If You Lose It.
This year’s travels!
Yes, with an S for more than one travel. First up – we’re looking to travel to Japan in April. The main reason is to renew my Japanese driver’s license but the secondary reasons are endless: see the cherry blossoms again (oh how I miss it, been 11 years since the last time), see my in-laws again after 4 years and show snow to the kids (snow still present in the north), get on the Shinkansen though Benjamin is a little bit terrified of the idea because it looks like the train in the movie, Train to Busan! I also intend to spoil the kids with lots of good and cheap (compared to Dubai!) Japanese food from onigiris from convenient stores, to good old Curry Ichiban, to food from ‘fastfood’ chains like Matsuya, Yoshinoya (gyudon, yum!), Mos burger and of course, lots and lots of ramen and soba, and udon, and etc etc!
The cool weather in Dubai. I have said it before and will say it again and again, if Dubai would only be like this the whole year, I’d stay here forever.
A little antsy over time. A little more often that I should, I find myself daydreaming (about travel, what else?) a lot these days which is only good if that’s all I have to do in a day. Once I plan something, I get a little impatient until that time comes. Well, the point it, I constantly find myself thinking of being somewhere else rather than here. It’s not that I hate the place, but maybe ten years of being in the same place in your life creates that longing for something, somewhere new?
