In Dubai/UAE, Sunday is when we’re back to work and school, having Fridays and Saturdays as our weekend. We had a crazy weekend weather with sandstorm and rain and crazy strong winds. It was definitely not a good idea to go out, though we did for my son’s swimming lessons (pool is heated and indoors). It was the scariest drive I did in my life.
Anyway, here’s this week’s currently.
I’ll bend the rule a little bit by saying “currently watched..” – the movie Now You See Me and Now You See Me 2. Thursday and Friday nights are movie nights at my house and my daughter picked these movies. I was hesitant at first, hearing the title, thinking it was a horror movie but wow, it blew me away. I won’t spoil it for you but here’s the thing, you’ll end up surprised at every twist. I LOVED IT!
A lot of travel guides about a possible destination. Nothing is fixed but I’ve been dreaming of going to this place with the kids and if you know me – I make a lot of imaginary itineraries even if I don’t know when I/we could go!
Rain in Dubai over the weekend! Because yeah, if you live in the desert, the sound of rain and the smell of the Earth wet with rain gets you really excited because well, it doesn’t happen often!
These cool T-sticks. From their website, “The wonderful T-Stick eliminates the need for tea infuser bags and spoons, saving time and avoiding drips and mess. The unique T-Stick also acts as a strainer and stirrer. Best of all, our T-Sticks come in 10 wonderful flavours to enjoy.”
I found them at Lulu Hypermarket in Al Qusais and maybe because it’s a new thing and a lot of people are unfamiliar with it (and too lazy to find out what it is), a whole lot of stock is left ignored in the shelf so the store slashed the price to just AED2 per box (US$0.50)! Each box has 15 t-sticks. As a non-coffee drinker and avid tea lover, of course I hoarded!
Wishful. I’ve thought of upgrading my photography equipment (darn, those two words sounds like I’m a pro at photography! I’m not but I love taking photos.) to a full frame camera. I’m currently using a Nikon D5300 which I won from a photography contest way back in 2014 and it has served me well.
Now, I am wishing to have the Nikon D750 with the versatile 24-120mm lens.
