who is surfing in Dubai?

My clustrmap is freaking me out. Look at the map on the lower side of my blog’s right sidebar and click it. The next image will show you the map of the world with red dots, large and small ones. The dots mean the number of visitors’ clicks to this site, large dots are courtesy of people who visit frequently – - thank you very much to the people behind the huge dots in Philippines, Japan, SA, Malaysia and if I can see it clearly, Germany, UK and Southern California?

Then there’s another huge dot placed in Dubai. I don’t know if Clustrmaps track the visits I made to my own blog because if not, that would scare me a little. The UAE has strict censorship in the news and the internet. Several UAE bloggers have their accounts closed because of saying something nasty about the government or the local scene, which includes of course, some metaphors and paradoxes of what is already worse.

Just for the record, I gave my blog address to no one in Dubai. Hmm, none that I remembered really, so who could be surfing my page aside from myself? I’d really like to know and hoping that it’s not someone dressed in local costume sitting in the cozy government offices.

UPDATE: Thanks to Idel who solved my little mystery! I was indeed linked in Gulfnews, an online news site here in Dubai but that was without my knowledge and permission. That explains the traffic and the dot getting bigger in my Clustrmap.
