On my way home yesterday, I found the Dubai Metro train on a test run on an elevated platform very near where we live.
There’s a station near our apartment and a station near where I work so the stressful days of having to drive through the morning traffic to work and back is nearing to an end. I’m starting the countdown with a smile on my face.
Do you prefer to drive your own car or use the public transport?

Heck no, not in our country. Here we all take our own transport.

I love public transportation! I take an express bus (which means it goes from my stop to downtown without additional stops!) every day, which takes 20-25 minutes each way. I read, do handsewing, listen to my Ipod, or just gab. I love, love, love it, and it saves so much pollution!
I NEVER sleep tho. I snore, lol…it’s too embarassing.
If public transportation was an option that actually got me where I wanted to go in a reasonable amount of time, yes, I would take it. Probably not now, with two small children in tow, but when I lived in Seattle I would have loved to take the bus. Unfortunately it would have taken me about 4 hours one way to get to work! Driving took about an hour, but I joined a carpool that made it 45 minutes. So I guess I did my part, but our public transportation over here pretty much sucks!
Public transportation is sometimes good, but in dubai, i think it’s not. Over 40 degrees of weather makes all the ppl to use their own cars with air condition

Hey! Good for you and in a way you’re helping the environment. I used to ride the metro before I shifted to my new place.And I really like ‘coz it’s clean, fast & stress free travel and I advice take the gold card to a more stress free travel on peak hours.
I am usually use public transport to save green world.
i drive, to take the bus would take 1 hour and thousands of turns and a few hundred aromas, human and otherwise. Driving takes me to work in 20 mins…and bus-ing is not an ideal option in -35C weather.
i re-use my plastic bags, and try to use my reusable bags, i recyle my pop cans.
