I went out after lunch today to buy something and the moment the I slipped out of the sliding door at the building entrance, I had to squint my eyes. It was so hot!
The word hot probably wouldn’t come as a surprise when talking about Dubai in summer but today, the mercury hit 51C (124F)! Outside, people are rushing from one airconditioned building to another. Within seconds, my back was wet with sweat. No doubt, today is the hottest day since summer started and too bad I had to take the bus today as M is on an urgent errand for work and in the other side of the city!
I wonder how hot is hot later at 6 pm. It would be a little bearable since the sun has almost set but still, the 50%humidity is still there. Let’s hope the bus comes fast and that I’ll be able to get on it without wrestling through other passengers in the afternoon rush nightmare.

I can’t imagine being able to tolerate 51C!!! I always think about you in Dubai everytime I feel like complaining about the heat in Tokyo during summer.
That sounds like torture. I know it is hot enough here in the city but 124 degrees? That is something I could not tolerate.
More power to you.

That´s crazy! And unbearable! I bet you think twice, before going out, and if you do, you do as much as possible, so you don´t have to go out again…. I bet you´re counting the days til you leave!

So how many women are riding the bus with you? Has the women’s section ever been overrun with men as the result of a busy travel time?
