My science teacher said that a significant fraction of the human body is water. Lean muscle tissue contains about 75% water. Blood contains 83% water. Body fat contains 25% and so on. I say that I have more than the normal percentage of water in my body. I am practically a walking water tank — with lots of holes in it.
The hot desert sun and the unbelievable humidity are all factors of why people sweat here. But they just DON’T sweat like I do!
Before I leave the house, I put a face towel in my back, I tie my hair even though I don’t want to because nothing feels more yucky than having all my hair stick to my wet neck. I can’t put any makeup on, it will just wash away in a few minutes.
I arrive at the bus stop and see people there. While I am busy wiping my face, they just stand there without a droplet of sweat. Their shirt collars are still dry while mine is screaming wet already. I remember before that I easily sweat even during light exercise. Ten minutes of badminton and my shirt is already wet. Ten minutes of walking in summer and the same thing happens.
What’s wrong with me? It was 38C this morning with more than 50% humidity. I walked for 20 minutes with an umbrella to my office but arrived there wet, wet, wet! I brought clothes and changed after sweating has stopped.
I don’t like sweating but it goes with summer. After taking the bus again for a little more than a week, I have lost one dress size. It’s nothing, really, because I need to lose more but this is the only consolation I have to the terrible yuck feeling I get every single morning — at least until it cools down here, in another 40 days or so.

I love the new theme! It’s wonderful! Hang in there. Summer will be over soon enough!
Love the new digs–that logo is cute too.
I’ve never heard of such a thing. Have you always been like this? I can’t imagine having to bring an extra set of clothes with you. Poor thing!
I love your new layout too! Very pretty.
I sweat like a dog… my nose sweats… it drives me nuts!
at least you don’t have to work hard to lose weight…
that’s ok grace- it’s healthier if you sweat more… I’m also one of those who easily sweats even in a short time of brisk walking or work-out…Don’t worry- by just walking in the dessert heat, you can easily go down one dress size!
