the unexpected cold

I can’t believe I’m saying this but IT’S COLD. While maximum temperature during daytime is a pleasant 25-27C, the mornings and nights are down to 14C or sometimes lower.

NOT cold enough for you? Well, uhm, 14C is cold for desert dwellers who are used to 40C days of summer and average of about 28C all throughout the year.

Last night I was feeling cold even if our aircondition is already off and all of the windows are closed. I woke up so many times to put her blanket as she kept on kicking and kicking it out. Her arms were cold to the touch.

Hard to believe that the Middle East have winter too? Check out The Little Travelers! They were in Iran a few weeks back and the girls were sporting thick jackets. The snowcapped mountains and the ski resort in Iran looks like Aspen in the US!

There is no snow in Dubai, except the artificial one in Ski Dubai, inside Emirates Mall but sometimes in the middle of the night (like last night at 2 am when I went out to the balcony), I watch the sky and think, at this temperature, it won’t be weird if it snows here, too. Then how exciting it must be for the people here and we might have a national holiday because of that, or something.

Tomorrow, I have a DVD to giveaway thanks to The Little Travelers! Please come back and check it out!

Hi Grace, had an email from a friend in the States this morning and the temperature there was -6, now that is cold, brrrr! I guess like everything else, feeling cold is relative to what we are used to.

Point of my visit…to wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a wonderful new year.

Love,
Eaton. :)

Stay warm! It is unusually cold here as well and no one is out. Around here, if it is cold or snows, people hibernate.
