Getting colder from where you are? Snow? Cloudy, gray skies?
Here’s what we have here in the Emirates:
Cloudless, blue skies in October!
Last weekend, we went to the beach. Finally, the temperatures have mellowed down (maximum still at 35C at mid-day but with low humidity so it’s not that bad) and the sand won’t scorch our feet anymore.
We brought our barbeque set, tents and mats:
We arrived in the beach at 9:30 am, set up the tent and went for a swim. The water was really nice but it was getting hot at 11 am so we left the shore and had our lunch. The beach park is enveloped by the scent of barbeque!
Just before the main entrance to the shoreline, when you turn your back, the mighty tall Burj Dubai can be seen, in its towering glory:
It was terribly hot in the hours of 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm! We went back at 5 pm. The temperature is so pleasant and she had lots of fun in the beach:
She played until it was almost sunset:
It’s beach time again here until maybe the end of November. I guess we’ll have weekends like this until it’s cold enough to swim in the water.

Indeed the pictures are stunning. In Canada, the weather is getting grey, cloudy…we even had a burst of snow last week! I long for some warmth…lol You have a cute daughter (as they say, ‘Maashallah!’)
Somehow I think on days like that you maybe aren’t missing the chilly autumn days just so much! We had our first snow flakes yesterday!
