Good news for Kabayans in the UAE!

Cebu Pacific A330

If you are from the Philippines, you would know about Cebu Pacific – the Philippines’ largest national flag carrier offering budget fares to local and international destinations in Asia.

But did you also know that they’re expanding their wings to a farther destination?

As Cebu Pacific enters long haul market, it’s not a surprise that with the 700,000 Filipinos working and residing in the UAE, they chose Dubai as their first long haul international destination. The airline announced direct flights between the UAE and Manila from October 7 this year. I can’t wait!

Flights to the Philippines have been the domain of many Gulf carriers, with Emirates being the only direct flight to Manila from Dubai. And we all know how expensive this can be that passengers often take multiple stops and connecting flights increasing total flight time to up to 24 hours just to save up on fares.

100 Lucky Juans

During the peak months such as Christmas and New Year when Filipinos flock home to celebrate the country’s most festive season, airplane tickets can soar up to 5,000 dhs. Cebu Pacific promises a much cheaper fare, inclusive of taxes. This is a welcome relief to the Filipino community here.

OK, that’s the good news part…now the better news.

Cebu Pacific will be holding a contest called where 100 lucky passengers will get on that maiden flight Dubai-Manila on October 7! The contest will run from May 13 to August 18 so check out Cebu Pacific Facebook page so you won’t miss a thing!

Watch out for contest details soon!

That’s great that Cuba Pacific is expaning their service. But its not just Filipinos that will benefit. Many tourists and business people visit the Philippines.

I heard about this on the grapevine before and I’m glad it’s finally happening. Hopefully flights will be on time and fares affordable.
