We all know those religious wars and bloodshed caused by clashes of religion and belief in that One God. Living in the Middle East is an eye-opener, especially because this is not your ordinary strip of Mid-East land.
While there are countless mosques around the city, the presence of Catholic Churches and other churches from all sorts of religious congregations are aplenty in Dubai.
For the first time last Friday, the day-off patterned from the Islamic point of view, we attended a mass at St. Mary’s Church in Oud Al Metha. The Catholic church is just a few meters away from the mosques but everyone seemed to be ok with it. The faithfuls (on both religions) surprisingly respect each other here.
Here is what caught my attention:

Epitaph found in the wall of the Catholic church
**Shaikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum is of course, a Muslim**
