I‘ll be going on vacation from next week and although I’m looking forward to it, I’m also terrified. My daily routine will be different. First, I will be on the road most of the time have no easy access to a fridge or kitchen where I can prepare my meals. My skinny husband with a metabolism like a NASA rocket loves to eat out. He can pig out without gaining a gram of weight. I bluntly tell him that I hate him for that. Need to find ways to lose weight (or at least not gain) despite spouse sabotage.
Before anything else, there’s about 30+ hours of inactivity inside the plane with constant offer of food. Ass fattening program. Have to do something ’bout that!
Also, there won’t be any gym to go to so there’s no weights to lift except my own. So I’ll have to rely on the Turbulence Training bodyweight circuits for my exercise. Now’s not the time to fall off from the wagon, no time to derail my fat loss plans!
And there will be PARTIES. Uh-oh.
I’m basically asking for divine intervention here.

Okay. Eat vegetables. Lots of salads. Eat fish. And allow yourself 1 cheat a day. So plan on it. As for lifting weights, use Pristine to lift with your feet so that you can at least keep your legs going. Lie on the floor. Put your feet on her belly and hold her hands. Then straighten your legs and lift her up. Do that pup 10-20 times a day. She’ll love it and you’ll get a little exercise. Also walk everywhere you can.
Thanks for the motivation, Maribeth!! I’ve packed my healthy snacks for the long flight so I won’t have to eat the greasy and starchy stuff in the plane!! I might even say no to some meals and just share with Pristine’s. I hope to stay active during my vacation. It’s just two weeks in Japan – that won’t make me a sumo wrestler, I hope!!

I think you’ll be okay! Don’t they walk a lot in Japan? And you won’t be working so less time sitting in your office chair…
Just try to pick the healthier foods at the party and eat in moderation! And allow yourself that one cheat like Maribeth says. Hey, you are on vacation right?
Have fun!

I miss Japanese foods. Really.
Just enjoy and make healthy food choices. Enjoy simple games with Pristine just like what we did at the beach (7 7 up).

Oh geeez! I will be sending you extra energies
Although vacation can be fun, when your on a diet like me or trying to be healthier like you, it can be majorly hard to stay on track-You just need to tell yourself, ‘Self. I’m going to be the best I can be so I can be proud when I say I did my best this vacation!’
Good Luck!
