Ready for some expressive technology gear?
If you are like me and quite bored with the usual black or gray laptop bag, then it’s time for a change! Sisters Helena and Emily McHugh, Founders and Designers of the Casauri brand designs stylish and colorful laptop cases and travel accessories for the mobile lifestyle.
Casauri’s laptop bag went from being Emily’s class project at Columbia Business School to becoming the first laptop bag sold at the Museum of Modern Art Design Store in New York.
Quoting Helena and Emily:
Our goal is to make our customers happy by designing products that make their lives more simple and fun.
In case you’re wondering of the origin of their unique business name, they took the “ca-” from the French “caméléon” and the “-sauri” from the reptile family Sauria – this reflects our capacity to change, evolve, and grow. The ball logo, akin to a beach ball, represents the coiled tail of the chameleon, suggestive of cohesion in the midst of change.
Casauri has received international recognition in magazines from Vogue to Travel+Leisure and was the first laptop case sold at the MoMA Design Store in New York. Casauri is also available across the US and internationally (including Australia, Brazil, France, Japan, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Canada). For a list of select stores, click here.
Interesting note: one of the best features of this messenger bag is fast access to your laptop without having to open the flap!
