I am fortunate that Denise wasn’t afraid of my address at all and sent me a Fine silver name bar necklace which has my daughter’s name and birthstone. The moment we opened the small package, it was an instant hit. The gift tin box that held the necklace is so cute and the necklace inside became Pristine’s favorite jewelry. Actually she has no other necklace and as a first piece of jewelry, I think it’s special since it has her name on it.

I’m feeling your pain – I had 2 toddlers under the age of 2 by Christmas 1978, and we had friends (He’s a Dentist, she’s a stay-@-home Mom) with a new Baby that was sooo perfect! She slept all the time, her Mom never had a hair out of place (only gained 12# and lost it right away). I felt like a hippo next to her – and, of course our house wasn’t as nice, we had 2 old cars, etc. etc. But I have a wonderful Husband & we got thru it – and in retrospect I think that it made US grow closer – we are still married, 33 years this May!!!! There are no 2 situations alike – try to count your blessings (or, if you will – the positive things in your life) every day and remember that this, too shall pass, one way or the other!!!! Smile – it makes people wonder what you’ve been up to!

LOL with the expression “she never had a hair out of place”! I really wonder how some new moms do that! Also, good that you bonded with your husband through those early days. My experience had been the opposite – we drifted away but like what you said, this too shall pass and it did. I am glad those dark days are over…my life now is not perfect but I am happier now!
It was facing the unknown (the uncontrollable and non-stop crying) at first that freaked me out.It’s not nice to feel so helpless, especially if you are a new mom.
