Giveaway: Willow Creek Studio

** This giveaway is now closed. Thank you for all your entries! **

Michelle’s love for sewing and keeping precious memories is the reason Willow Creek Baby was born. She started sewing vintage inspired patchwork baby blankets and hit the road selling them. After the birth of her son, Ryan, in 2004, she was inspired to make her first memory blanket. She was packing up his outgrown clothing when she realized that she could not put the lid on the box, instead she wanted to reminisce over each piece of clothing.

BEFORE (left) & AFTER (right)

What a clever idea! I, myself don’t want to rid of all the baby clothes of my daughter and it takes me so long to take them away, lock them somewhere because I look at each of the little shirts and even smell them one by one and remember that time when Pristine was still a baby. Eventually, due to the lack of space, I gave some of the clothes away but still kept the most cherished ones. I even keep movie tickets – you get the picture how it was a challenge for me to ‘dispose’ the baby things.

In July of 2008, Willow Creek Baby became Willow Creek Studio. The new name reflects how the company has evolved since inception in 2003. The company has expanded their offerings beyond their popular line of baby memory blankets and now provides products for the entire family.

At Willow Creek Studio, childhood memories last a lifetime. By the way, these precious memory blankets are also featured in CHILD Magazine.

SOME OF THE THINGS THEY DO:

Reversible totes (Ella design). The totes come with matching Stroller Blankets.

Custom Military Totes from recycled military fatigues.

Very clever! I’m planning to make little pillows out of my kids old baseball shirts.

Hey, stop by my place today and see our science experiment…and how cold air affects boiling water. Stunning!

Wow..I really like the Memory Blanket (adult) What an awesome idea. I like it that it is making an blanket of out something old (and hopefully something that is cherished or important to the wearer) and making it into a Memory blanket. Then as the child gets older, you can explain what all of the different pieces once were. TOO COOL!! Plus…it is RECYLING!! AWESOME!!

Thanks for a great giveaway.
