We used to do that when we traveled to the Carribbean on cruise ship and the cabin was so cold but outside was so warm. But with such a drop in change, I am not sure if it would work. You are correct that the condensation is not good for the inner workings of your camera, so I would try to keep it wrapped up anyway if you are going to be taking it in and out on a regular basis. Since I have been following your blog, I have been listening to any news I can glean about Dubai from anywhere. :-) I am glad that you are all safe and sound.
