I took off from work yesterday afternoon just like that. It was a Saturday so my husband and daughter was at home (they both have a Friday-Saturday off while I have only Fridays). I know somewhere inside me, even after almost one year of working in Dubai is screaming unfair. How not fun it is to work on weekends when all your life is used to staying at home on Saturdays and Sundays!
Add to it that I forgot my light jacket at home yesterday so I shivered inside that dead cold office for 5 hours. Try 15C in your room, babe.
M and Pristine came to pick me up at lunch time and we dined out. After one hour my husband announced we’ll drive back to my office. Naturally little girl protested, asking why Mom has to go back when we are having fun? Yeah, she has a point you know. 
We strolled around and went home to take an afternoon nap. All was well.

Ergh! How frustrating. I’m so fortunate to be able to stay at home with my kids. Good for you for taking an afternoon for fun.

That’s what I feel like doing just having fun with my kids, even working, to at least have the weekends off. Working Saturdays, is NO fun! I’m glad you got to take off and have a little fun.
