it’s winter and I forgot my jacket

Is it spring in your corner of the world? In mine, it’s winter still. It will be winter the whole year through!

I am still in Dubai (in case you’re wondering), at work where it’s freezing cold. Most days I don’t mind as long as I have a jacket to warm me up. Never mind my fingers have to feel a little pain out of numbness.

Today, I forgot my jacket at home just because I was too conscious and decided to wash it before the weekend. Bad idea! Now I am sneezing endlessly. I have no jacket, but thank God I have my tissue box.

You poor thing! It snowed here today, too, so I feel your pain. I hope you get better! I didn’t know Dubai gets cold — that’s interesting. How long is it cold for? When do warmer temps arrive?

Hope you don’t end up catching a cold! Maybe you should leave an extra jacket at work? Or maybe a blanket?

Oh no! You should have let it stay dirty, I guess . . . or maybe get a second jacket. :)

Hi Maria,

It’s already hot here in Dubai actually but the temps inside the office buildings are freezing cold!

The aircon settings are around 15C (59F).

It gets cold in Dubai too during the months of December to February. Right now, summer is in full swing with 35C(95F)at midday. The humidity is still low and mornings and afternoons are still pretty cool and comfortable.

I was just about to say,”Freezing in Dubai,HUH!” :?:

That’s just to keep everyone from taking naps at their desks! I remember one of my English teachers freezing us, so we wouldn’t fall asleep in class.

It’s supposed to be 99F today! OH YEAH! Can you just tell how excited I am! Think I’ll crank up my central A/C!

We’re just heading into Winter here in Sydney. I can’t wait until it’s cold enough to need a jacket!

We’re getting firewood delivered this weekend, I think.
