Why I’d have to say goodbye to teas for now

I would like to ask who on earth is happy to see roaches. They are the absolute dreadful creature ever existed and I hate, hate them – especially if one of them have decided to rent a space in my keyboard…of all the places!

Maybe the shadow, the contrast of black and white produced by the arched pieces of plastic made the roach decide to settle there. As I was about to start working this morning, I saw a pair of inquisitive antennas and almost jumped on my seat.

I turned my keyboard upside down and banged it over and over my desk. The people around me, the hungry people doing their Ramadan fast are starting to get suspicious if I had too, fasted and gone crazy. Well, I almost did go crazy. Who would not freak out if a cockroach is beneath the letters of your keyboard!!

I pulled the wire and handed my keyboard to our office boy. After banging my keyboard over and over in the adjacent room, he was back, handing me back my important work gadget.

“The cockroach is gone? Dead?”, I asked.

“Yes, madam.”

… and with a wide smile (all teeth showing), he showed the creature to me, wriggling, screaming for help and trapped between his thumb and fore finger.

… may I remind you that this is the SAME office boy who prepares our milk tea twice everyday. Yum.

I detest roaches more than anything else! I won’t even go near one no matter what the circumstances. I roach in my keyboard would force me to quit blogging altogether!

This reminds me of that incident in a previous company… we took advantage of the unlimited coffee supply until one officemate saw a cockroach’s leg in his coffee!

Do you wonder how long the roach had been lurking there? My, with all the fasting the terrible creature must not have had his usual crumbs dropped to him (or her?). Gross, I’m so sorry – I HATE bugs.

Yikes! That’s me. But if it’s my son, he would say “yuckkk!” And with a shiver, I swear.

We actually (inadvertently) transported a cockroach from our warm climate up to my parents’ house – it road in the comfort of my husband’s computer bag – so I feel for you :)

ICK!! I’m staring at my keyboard now shivering. I so Hate roaches. I would have been screaming for HELP!! Maybe he thought the tapping of the key board was music to his antennae. And the office boy, I’m sure he washes his hands before he makes everyones tea!! :)
