HP finale off the shelves

by Grace

M called me out of the blue and asked me if I’d hop in his car and he’ll take me to lunch. I had my packed lunch box but heck, who wants to eat cold lunch anyway? Occasional hot meal and surprise dates are always welcome! ;-)

finally!

A few minutes later we arrived at Deira City Center. It’s quite amazing how the whole Magrudy’s Bookstore has been decorated with EVERYTHING Harry Potter. The final book has been released, everyone can open their eyes and unplug their ears as the spoilers can’t hurt anymore. The answers are finally in our hands – NOT.

The book costs 99 dirhams, a mere US$27 but a little steep for us. We went to see the 5th movie so another Potter-related frenzy can’t be accomodated in the family budget right now!

Whew, I wish pay day is nearer!!

Or I wish someone is physically, geographically near that has bought the book and read it all.

Lend me one, please!!

I promise to finish and return it within 24 hours, with or without sleep. If ever that is possible!

I read a PDF-copy of the HP final book months ago. A friend emailed it to me and even if I suspected that the said copy is 100% fake… I still read it! Anyways, I also wish someone here in Osaka will buy the book and let me borrow. ^-^

Hi G—I don’t really get the fascination with HP.
Maybe you can explain it to me.

I was wondering what is so fascinating about HP before I got hold of the first book. Why don’t you try reading the first few chapter of the first book and decide whether you like it or not?

Hello grace,

Believe it or not- I must be one of the few creatures alive who never devoured a harrpy potter book! I know I have to read it to see if it fascinates me… but comparing it to a charles dicken’s work- (because I just read in TIMES that some are insinuating that it could be akin to charle’s dickens work)– would be too good for a book. But then, for the benefit of the doubt- I’ll grab a copy of book 1 and see if it is overhyped…
