Have you ever wondered which portion of your brain is the dominant one?
Experiments show how Hemispheric Dominance i.e., left or right brain dominance influences our learning styles. Of course there is no such thing that it is better to be left brain dominated or right brain dominated. We need both kinds of thinking to function well. While a person may have a dominant styl e of thinking, it would be interesting to see how the other half works and even learn to develop the skills that we lack.

P.S. I see the dancer turning in both directions although at most times, I see her turning counter-clockwise. She just shift directions sporadically but mostly counter-clockwise, the way I see it.
So my left brain is dominant it seems. Hubby can’t seem to agree though because I am nowhere near good at Math!

I see both directions too, but I see it turning counterclockwise most of the time. I’m not that good at Math too, but I survived (finished) 4 years of Computer Science… so at least… maybe it counts as being good? hehehe

I know I am a left brained person and I did see her turning counterclockwise, but I also saw her turning clockwise as well. I can relate to almost every left brain characteristic! Am I boring or what! This would explain why I have such a hard time coming up with scrapbook ideas!

This appeared in the Herald Sun too. Interesting optical illusion. She is an animation made up of 34 frames. I doubt that it particularly defines right/left brain orientation though. It sure is neat to look at. On frame #11 – #12 the reflection of the outstretched foot first appears.

Hmm, I saw the image reverse itself several times, too. The first direction I noticed was clockwise, though . . . I wonder if that means I´m just multi-hemisphered, or left brain?
no matter how i looked at it, twitched my eyes, focused and all, i can only see the turning clockwise … so it’s my right brain that rules!

The dancer do turn clockwise and counterclockwise at “intervals.” If you happen to click on the site and the dancer is still turning clockwise- just wait and she will turn counterclockwise in a few seconds. You can also time the ‘change’ in direction. Which means to say that (personal opinion) our being a left or right brain depends on what we see first the moment we click on the link- which is not a good basis of determining if we are right or left brain individuals. The best way to determine is to assess where we are good at. For example, if we tend to be artistic, our left brain is more dominant (you are right- we need both hemispheres to function well- although some tend to have one hemisphere that is more developed)

i saw the dancer going clock-wise…confirming what I already knew …but as I get older, and certainly since my 30′s I notice that I was losing my intuitive skills in a sense by second guessing myself… interesting. By the way my intuition work much better when I am not ‘thinking’ rather just letting thoughts come up as they well…
